  • Maintain a total of 24 stitches per round.

The Heel Flap

  • Chain 1 and turn. Work 1 sc in the next 16 stitches, leaving 8 unworked.
  • Repeat for 11 rows to form the heel flap.
  • Fold in half and join both sides with slip stitches to close the heel.
  • Fasten off and turn the sock right side out.

The Cuff and Leg

  • Reattach yarn at the heel seam.
  • Work single crochet stitches evenly around the heel opening (24 total).
  • Continue for 8 rounds for the leg length.
  • For a ribbed finish, work 4 rounds of single crochet in the back loop only (BLO).

Finishing

  • Join the last round with a slip stitch to the first stitch.
  • Cut the yarn, pull through, and weave in all ends neatly with a tapestry needle.
