Crochet Rose Cutie Pattern To Be A Part Of Your Bouquet

May 14, 2024 by Adnan

This Crochet Rose Cutie is a delightful little creation that looks like a cheerful rose plant nestled in a pot.

The flower petals are made with yarn in vibrant shades of red or orange, making the rose blossom appear bright and lovely.

In contrast, the stem is crocheted with a lush green yarn, giving it the look of a real plant stalk.

Below the stem, the pot is shaped with brown yarn, adding to the illusion that this crochet rose is sitting in rich soil, just like a plant in a pot would.

To bring a touch of joy and character to the piece, you can give the plant pot a cute smiling face, making anyone who sees it say "wow" at its cuteness and charm.

This Crochet Rose Cutie is perfect for adding a cozy touch of nature to any room, without the need for watering!

Special Instructions - Stitches

Use a 'yarn under' technique on the first pass of each single crochet stitch for a tighter fabric.

Crochet Rose Leaves:

  1. With yarn D (green), ch 8.
  2. Rnd 1: Starting from the 3rd ch from hook, work the following stitches:
    • 1dc, 2tr, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, sl st, ch 1
    • Working on the opposite side of the ch, slip stitch into the next st, proceed with 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 2tr, 1dc, ch 2 and sl st into the same st as the last dc (20 sts).
  3. Fasten off yarn D, weave in ends. Make a total of two leaves.

Crochet Rose Petals:

  1. With yarn C (red), create a magic ring.
  2. Rnd 1: Inside ring work 6sc, sl st to join, ch 1.
  3. Rnd 2: 2sc in each st, join, ch 1 (12 sts).
  4. Rnd 3: [1sc in next st, 2sc in next st] repeat 6 times, join, ch 1 (18 sts).
  5. Rnd 4: 1sc in the next 12 sts, 1hdc in the next 3 sts, ch 1, sl st in same as last hdc, sl st in next, ch 1, 1hdc in same as last sl st, 1hdc in next 2 sts, join. (22 sts)
  6. Fasten off yarn, leave a tail for sewing. Set aside.
  7. Make a second petal by repeating Rnds 1-4.

Attach petals by sewing three stitches from the edge of one petal to the corresponding three stitches on the next petal, through the back loops only for a pronounced edge. Create a total of seven connected petals.

Crochet Rose Stem:

  1. Prepare rolled petals with notched sides facing downwards.
  2. Join yarn D (green) to the base of the first petal.
  3. Rnd 1 of stem: [1sc, sc2tog] 2 times across the bottom of the petals (12 sts).
  4. Roll petals into a cylindrical shape and secure them by sewing.
  5. Continue with stem rounds, with the option to work in small rounds of 4 sts or replace with rounds of 6 sts if preferred.
  6. Add leaves by sewing or crochet them onto the stem as follows:
    • Rnd 7: 1sc, attach the first leaf with a sc, then sc across the rest, join, ch 1 (4 sts).
    • Rnds 8-11: Continue sc around, attaching the second leaf in Rnd 11 similarly to the first.
  7. Use remaining tail to secure leaves and petals together.

That is the abridged version of the pattern, based on the information provided. For best results and to ensure you're following the steps correctly, you may need to refer to the original pattern for detailed instructions, especially for special stitches and finishing touches.
