- With your left hand, use your index and middle finger to wrap the yarn, creating a loop.
- Pull the tail through the loop with your right hand.
- Adjust the slip knot to ensure it's tight but with a loop that's not too loose or tight.
Chain 10:
- Yarn over and pull through the loop on your hook to create the first chain.
- Continue to create a total of 10 chains.
Row 1 - Shaping the Leaf:
- Slip Stitch: Insert hook into the second chain from hook, yarn over and pull through all loops on the hook.
- Single Crochet (SC): Insert hook into the next chain, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through both loops on the hook.

- Treble Crochet Increase: In the same stitch as the last treble crochet, perform another treble crochet to create an increase.
Row 2 - Completing the Leaf:
- Mirror the stitches of Row 1 in reverse order to decrease the leaf's shape back to the starting point.
- Continue with DC, HDC, SC, and finish with a slip stitch into the last chain.
Securing the Work:
- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail.
- Use a darning needle to weave in the ends securely on the back side of the work.
Creating the Strap:
- Create a loop using a slip knot.
- Chain between 40 to 60 (adjust based on the headphone size).
- Attach the chain in a loop around both ends of the leaf structure using slip stitches.
- Weave in the ends of the straps to secure.
Finishing Touch:
After attaching the straps, fix the sprout onto your headphone band by wrapping the strap around it and securing it through the loop created by the strap.
