Crochet Angel Ornaments
Materials:
- Weight 2 or sport weight yarn in two different colors (white and blue in the video)
- Crochet hooks in sizes C/2.75 mm and B/2.25 mm (or 2.5 mm)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- 16 mm wooden bead (or larger for thicker yarn)
Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- hdc: half double crochet
- sl st: slip stitch
- st: stitch
Body:
Magic circle
Round 1:
ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 12 hdc into magic circle, sl st into 1st hdc (12 hdc total)
Round 2:
- ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 2 hdc in each st around (24 hdc total), sl st into 1st hdc
For Round 3:
ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 1 hdc, 2 hdc in next st, repeat around (36 hdc total), sl st into 1st hdc
Round 4:
- ch 1, sl st in next st, repeat around, ch 1, sl st into 1st sl st, cut a long tail and hide it
Wings:
- Magic circle
- Round 1: ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 7 hdc into magic circle, sl st into 1st hdc (8 hdc total)
- Round 2: ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 2 hdc in each st around (16 hdc total), sl st into 1st hdc
