Crochet Poncho
Materials:
- Lion Brand Mandala Bonus Bundle yarn in the color Centaur (size 3 DK weight, approximately 1,181 yards per cake)
- 4.5 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- hdc: half double crochet
- dc: double crochet
- fpdc: front post double crochet
- fpsc: front post single crochet
- V st: V stitch (double crochet, chain 1, double crochet in the same chain space)
Pattern:
- Chain 130.
- Slip stitch to the first chain to form a chain ring.
Round 1:
ch 1, hdc in the same stitch as ch 1, hdc in each ch across, sl st to the first hdc. (You should have 130 hdc stitches.)
Round 2:
- ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in the next stitch, ch 2, 3 dc in the next stitch (this forms the first corner), place a marker in the ch 2, skip the next 3 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch, ch 1, 2 dc in the next stitch, skip the next 3 stitches, 3 dc in the next stitch, ch 2, 3 dc in the next stitch (this forms the second corner), place a marker in the ch 2, repeat from to until you have 12 repeats (not counting the marked corners), sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3.
