This cropped square top crochet pattern is built entirely from classic granny squares, making it a satisfying project for anyone who enjoys modular crochet. Using just five squares, the design comes together quickly while still offering visual interest through texture, openwork, and decorative edging.
Cropped Granny Square Top

The cropped fit makes it ideal for warm weather, layering over dresses, or styling with high-waisted bottoms. Because the size and length are controlled by square count and strap length, the pattern is easy to customize for different body shapes and style preferences. It is a great way to turn traditional granny squares into a modern wearable piece.
