Materials
- Four-ply yarn with a little fur
- 6 mm hook for the main body
- 4.5 mm hook for sleeve ribbing

Crochet the Sleeves
- Begin with a slip knot and make 50 chains.
- Work Chain 2 then make an HDC into the 3rd chain from the hook and continue across for 50 HDC.
- Chain 1 and turn, then work HDC into the back loop only across.
- Continue repeating HDC-BLO rows until the sleeve is 18 or 19 inches wide. Sample sleeve has 42 rows and is 15 inches long.
- Place a stitch marker in the 21st row for the center.
- Repeat all steps to make the second sleeve.
Crochet the Front and Back Panels

Front Panel 1 Rows 1–27
- Make 80 chains with new yarn.
- Work Chain 2 then make an HDC into the 3rd chain from the hook and across for 80 HDC.
- Chain 1 and turn then work HDC-BLO for a total of 27 rows.
- Place a stitch marker in the 38th stitch of Row 27 to mark the armhole.

Back Panel Rows 28–57
- Chain 1 and turn then work HDC-BLO for 38 stitches until reaching the stitch marker.
- Skip the next 42 stitches and chain 42.

Front Panel 2 Rows 58–84

Assembly and Ribbing

Seaming and Attaching Sleeves
- Fold the front and back panels together at the shoulders and sew them using slip stitch.
- Switch to the 4.5 mm hook and work a foundation row of SC along the sleeve edge, decreasing by working SC, SC, SC2tog repeatedly until 33 stitches remain.
- Work a row of DC.
- Work five rows of alternating FPDC and BPDC for ribbing.
- Fold the sleeve cuff and close with slip stitch.
- Insert the sleeve into the armhole with the sleeve right-side out and the body wrong-side out.
- Join the sleeve by slip stitching two stitches of the body to one row of the sleeve all around.

Front Panel Ribbing and Buttonholes
- Starting at the bottom corner, work DC evenly along the entire front edge, around the neck, and down the other side working two DC in large spaces and one DC in small spaces.
- Place a stitch marker after every 15 stitches for buttonholes.
- Begin the FPDC and BPDC ribbing pattern.
- When reaching a marker, Chain 1 and skip one stitch to form a buttonhole then continue the ribbing pattern.
- On the next row work a post stitch into the chain space to maintain ribbing.
- Continue ribbing rows, fasten off, and sew buttons onto the opposite side.
