  • Slip knot and chains: Start with a slip knot and chain 9 (8 + 1).
  • Row 1: Skip the first chain and single crochet into the second chain from the hook, continuing across for a total of 8 single crochets.
  • Rows 2-8: Chain one, turn, and single crochet into each stitch for six rows. This completes one of the side walls.
