  • Ch: Chain
  • St: Stitch
  • Sc: Single crochet
  • Inc: Increase
  • Dc: Double crochet
  • Sl st: Slip stitch

Body of the Tree:

  • Make a magic ring.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc 6 in the ring, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), inc dc 6 times, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 1, inc dc, ch 2, inc dc in the same st, sc in the next st, sl st to the first ch.
  • Cut the yarn and fasten it off. Tidy up the remaining thread.

For Part 2:

  • Attach the yarn to the top of the tree.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc 6 in the ring, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), inc dc 3 times, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc 1, inc dc in the same st 6 times, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 1, inc dc, ch 2, inc dc in the same st, sc in the next st, sl st to the first ch.
  • Cut the yarn and fasten it off.

  • Attach the yarn to the top of the tree.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc 6 in the ring, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), inc dc 3 times, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 3 (counts as the first dc), dc 1, inc dc in the same st 6 times, sl st to the first ch.
  • Ch 1, inc dc, ch 2, inc dc in the same st, sc in the next st, sl st to the first ch.
  • Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the tree is the desired height.
  • Cut the yarn and fasten it off.

  • Ch 4 (counts as the first dc), sc, hdc, dc, skip 1 st, sl st.
  • Repeat step 3 5 more times.
  • Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
