Made with a 3mm macrame thread and a 4.0mm crochet hook, this design ensures a sturdy yet soft finish that’s perfect for everyday use. The finished product makes a perfect accessory for casual outings, or it can be given as a handmade gift to friends and family. Get ready to make a bag that’s as unique as you!

Materials

  • 4.0 mm crochet hook
  • 3 mm macrame thread (approx. 110 meters)

Crochet Bag Pattern

Crochet Useful Bag 1

Starting Chain

  • Make 20 chains. The number of chains should always be even.

First Row

  • Leave the first two chains.
  • Crochet in the third chain for the middle base.
  • The next chain is a clasp.
  • Repeat this pattern until the end of the row.

Starting a New Row

  • Make 2 chains.

Crochet Useful Bag 2

Second Row and Subsequent Rows

  • In the first house, make a simple base.
  • In the next house, make a tune.
  • Repeat this pattern to the end of the row.
  • Continue this pattern for 44 rows or until your desired height, ensuring the rows are even.

Marking the Row

  • Mark row 22.

Side Stitching (First Side)

  • Make a chain.
  • In every house, make a short base, up to 21 houses.
  • After house 21, make 3 unattractive houses at once.
  • Knit the remaining 20 houses with a short base.

Side Stitching (Second Side)

  • Make a chain.
  • Start the last ridge in the texture (Ridge 45).
  • Make a simple base in the first house.
  • The next house is closed to the end.
  • Make a chain.
  • Knit the remaining 21 houses with a short base.
  • Weave 3 houses together.
  • Knit the remaining 21 houses.

Finishing the Bag

  • Leave a part of the thread for sewing.
  • Stitch the houses opposite each other.
  • Cut the thread and use a lighter to secure the ends.
  • Turn the work back.

Making the Strap

  • Attach the thread to the clasp.
  • Knit a 90 cm strap.
  • Attach the other end of the strap to the second clasp.
  • Cut the thread and use a lighter to secure the ends.

Final Assembly

  • Attach the decorative bow to the front of the bag.
  • Attach the strap to the bag using the clasps.
