Materials
- Kartopu Aksoft yarn
- 3.5 mm crochet hook
Base of the Basket or Pouch

Start with a magic ring.
- Crochet 12 double crochets (DC) into the ring. The first 3 chains count as one DC.
- Close the ring and slip stitch into the top of the first 3 chains.
- Chain 3, then work 2 DC into each stitch around (total 24 DC).
- Chain 3, alternate between 1 DC and 2 DC in the next stitch all the way around.

- Chain 3, work 2 single DC followed by 2 DC in the next stitch.
- Repeat this sequence to finish the round.
- Slip stitch to close the row.
Body of the Basket or Pouch
- Crochet 7 rows of DC without increasing or decreasing to form straight sides.

Top Edge (Foldable Part)
- Chain 4 (counts as 1 triple crochet).
- Work 1 triple crochet (TR) in each stitch around for two rows.

Finishing the Base Edge
- Work a round of single crochet (SC) around the edge of the base to reinforce structure and stability.

Adding a Drawstring (Optional Pouch Conversion)
- Chain about 65–68 stitches for the drawstring (adjust to desired length).
- Weave the chain through the spaces between the last row of DCs, inserting it under every two stitches.
- Tie knots at each end of the chain to secure it.
