Materials Needed
- Yarn in two contrasting colors (Color A and Color B)
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
Creating the Square

Foundation Ring
- With Color A, create a slip knot.
- Chain 4, then slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.
- Chain 3 (counts as a double crochet).
- Work 3 double crochets into the ring.
- Chain 2 for corner space.
- Repeat the sequence (4 double crochets + chain 2) three more times to form four sides.
- Join with a slip stitch to complete the round.
Round 2
- Chain 3 (counts as a double crochet).
- Double crochet in each stitch.
- In each chain space: 2 double crochets, chain 2, 2 double crochets.
- Repeat around and join with a slip stitch.

For Round 3
- Chain 3.
- Work double crochets across each side.
- In each corner: 2 double crochets, chain 2, 2 double crochets.
- Finish with a slip stitch and fasten off.
Round 4 (Join Color B)
- Join in any corner space with a single crochet.
- Work 2 single crochets in the same corner space.
- Single crochet across the next 5 stitches.
- Make an extended stitch: yarn over 3 times and insert the hook from back to front into the 4th stitch of Round 2.
- Complete the stitch and pull through all loops.
- Repeat with the last stitch of the same cluster.
- Skip the next stitch, single crochet on the next 5 stitches.

Round 5 (Join Color A)
