Materials:

  • Aize Baby Best yarn
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook

Abbreviations:

  • ch: chain
  • st(s): stitch(es)
  • dc: double crochet
  • sp: space
  • sl st: slip stitch

Pattern:

Row 1:

  • Ch 37 (or a multiple of 3 + 1), sk 3 ch, dc in 4th ch from hook, sk 2 ch, 3 dc in next ch, rep from to last ch, sk 2 ch, 2 dc in last ch.
  • Turn. (2 dc at beginning and end of row)

Row 2:

  • Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc in next dc, ch 2, dc3tog in next 3 sts, rep from to last dc, ch 2, 2 dc in last dc.
  • Turn. (2 dc at beginning and end of row)

After Row 3:

  • Ch 3, sk next dc, 3 dc in ch-2 sp between last dc3tog and 2 dc of previous row, 3 dc in next ch-2 sp, rep from to last dc, 3 dc in ch-2 sp between last dc3tog and 2 dc of previous row, sk next dc, dc in top of turning ch. Turn. (1 dc at beginning and end of row)

Row 4:

  • Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and 1 ch), dc3tog in top of each 3 dc of previous row, rep from to last 3 dc, ch 1, dc in top of 3rd ch of turning ch.
  • Turn. (1 dc and 1 ch at beginning and end of row)

Row 5:

  • Ch 3, dc in next dc (base of ch 3, top of last dc of previous row), 3 dc in next ch-2 sp, rep from to last dc, 2 dc in top of 3rd ch of turning ch.
  • Turn. (2 dc at beginning and end of row)

In Row 6:

  • Ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc3tog in top of each 3 dc of previous row, rep from to last dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, dc in top of 3rd ch of turning ch.
  • Turn. (2 dc at beginning and end of row)

Repeat Rows 1-6:

  • For the desired number of rows.

Finishing:

  • Weave in any loose ends.
  • Block the blanket if desired.
