Simple Crochet Socks

Materials
- Yarn: Two colors (main and contrasting)
- Hook: 1.25 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
Toe (Working in Rounds)
- Make a Slip Knot and chain 3. Slip Stitch into the first chain to form a ring.
- Round 1: Chain 2, work 14 Double Crochet into the ring, Slip Stitch to join. (14 DC)
- Round 2: Chain 2, work 2 DC in each stitch, Slip Stitch to join. (28 DC)
- Round 3: Chain 2, repeat (2 DC in next stitch, 1 DC in next stitch) around, Slip Stitch to join. (42 DC)
- Adjust the size if needed and fasten off.

Foot Body (Working in Rounds)
- Join contrasting yarn.
- Chain 3 and work 1 DC in each stitch around, Slip Stitch to join.
- Repeat the same row (1 DC in each stitch) until the piece reaches the ankle.
- Fasten off.

Heel Shaping (Working in Rows)
- Rejoin yarn on the side, leaving 14 stitches unworked for the heel.
- Row 1: Chain 3, DC in each stitch until 14 remain, Chain 2, turn.
- Continue working DC in rows for about 8 rows to cover the heel area.
- Fasten off.

Seaming the Heel
- Turn inside out.
- Join both edges with Slip Stitches, keeping tension loose.
- Fasten off.

Ankle Cuff
- Turn right side out and rejoin secondary yarn at the back seam.
- Chain 3, work DC all around the opening, Slip Stitch to join, then fasten off.
- Join the main color yarn, Chain 2, DC in each stitch, decreasing with DC3tog at the front curves.
- Next row: Chain 2, alternate Front Post DC and Back Post DC around for ribbing.
- Slip Stitch to join and fasten off.
