Instructions For Base of the Palette:

Start with White Yarn and 2.75 mm hook

Create a slip knot, then chain 6.
Slip stitch into the first chain to form a loop.
Single crochet 12 times into the center of the loop (not into the chains).
Slip stitch to join to the first single crochet.

Second Round:

Chain 1 (counts as the first stitch).
In the next stitch, perform increase by making two single crochets.
