Materials
- Milk cotton yarn weight 3 light approximately 3 skeins of 50g each
- 3.5 mm crochet hook
- Tape measure
- Scissors
- Stitch markers
Lacy Body Shell Stitch
- Measure from one side of the chest to the other and chain a multiple of 5 for width
- Chain 75 plus 2 extra chains for the sample size
- Insert a double crochet into the fourth chain from the hook
- Skip four chains and work five double crochets into the next chain
- Continue skipping four chains and working five double crochets into the next chain across the row

- Skip two chains at the end and place two double crochets in the final chain
- Chain three turn and place one double crochet in the first stitch
- Work five double crochets into the center stitch of each shell from the previous row
- End each row with two double crochets
- Repeat the shell stitch rows until a total of fourteen rows are completed
Bust Portion Solid Rows
- Chain one turn and work one double crochet into every stitch across the row
- Place increase stitches by working two double crochets into one stitch at regular intervals

- Skip the space of approximately two shell clusters between each increase
- Repeat the increase row until the desired width is reached
- Continue working rows of double crochet without increases
- Complete twelve rows of solid double crochet for the bust height
Side Panels and Eyelets
- Work twenty one single crochets evenly down each side edge of the top
- Crochet three rows of double crochet along each side panel
- Work five double crochets then chain one skip one stitch and work five double crochets to form eyelets

- Repeat the eyelet pattern across the side panel
- Finish each side panel with one row of single crochet
Straps and Assembly
- Chain one hundred stitches for the back strap
- Attach the strap to one side and single crochet evenly along the top edge
- Chain another one hundred stitches on the opposite side

- Mark the center of the front neckline for strap placement
- Attach yarn chain one hundred stitches and single crochet back along the chain
- Repeat for the second front strap
- Lace the back straps through the side eyelets in a corset style pattern
