Materials:
- Yarn (less than 15g, either cotton or a fluffy acrylic for different effects)
- Crochet hook (4mm for acrylic, 4.5mm for cotton)
- Pair of scissors
- Darning needle
Pattern:

Start:
- Create a slip knot.
- With a 4.5mm hook (for cotton yarn), begin by chaining 44.
Row 1:
- Double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook.
- Chain 4 and place another double crochet in the same stitch.
- Count 4 chains, make a double crochet, chain 4, and double crochet in the same stitch. Repeat this process to the end of the row.
- You should have 11 loops if you started with 44 chains.

Row 2:
- Chain 2.
- Place 10 double crochets in the first loop space.
- Single crochet into the next space between loops.
- For curved petals, continue placing 10 double crochets in each loop with a single crochet in between.

Pointy Petals Variation:
- In the next loop space, double crochet 5 times.
- For the picot (pointy petal), chain 2, then slip stitch into the top of the last double crochet you made.
- Double crochet 5 more times in the same loop space.
- Single crochet into the next space between loops.
- Repeat this process for each loop/petal until you reach the end.

Finishing:
- Slip stitch to the base of the last petal.
- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing, and pull it through the loop to secure.
- Roll the strip with the petals into a rose shape, stitch the base and the sides of the petals securely with the yarn tail.
Necktie:
- Make a slip knot without leaving a long tail.
- Chain 160 (or more/less for desired length).
- Pull the yarn through the last loop and cut.

Assembly:
- Attach the chain through the rolled rose, ensuring even lengths on each side.
- Tie knots at the ends of the chains and trim any excess, ensuring the knots are tight.
