Materials
- Yarn: Orange DK yarn ("spice" color) and green DK yarn ("middle" color)
- Hook: 4 mm hook

Pumpkin Body
- Make a slip knot with the orange yarn and chain 16.
- Work a single crochet in the back hump of the second chain from the hook and in each subsequent chain until the end, for a total of 15 stitches.
- Chain one and turn.
- Single crochet in the first stitch (working through both loops), then make 13 single crochets in the back loop only, and a final single crochet in the last stitch (working through both loops).

- Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Pumpkin Assembly
- Thread the long tail onto a yarn needle. Fold the piece in half and whip stitch the two long sides together to form a tube.
- Cinch one end of the tube closed by weaving the needle through the stitches and pulling tight.
- Weave in the tail, snip the excess, and flip the piece inside out so the seam is hidden.
