Round 7 (Adding Fan Stitches):

  • Create fan stitches for this round by working (3 dc, 3 ch, 3 dc) in the chain spaces from the previous round.
  • Add a single V-stitch (dc, 3 ch, dc) in the third chain space periodically as described in the instructions.
  • Continue the established pattern around and join with a sl st.

  • Round 8: 2 chains.
  • Round 9: 3 chains.
  • For Round 10: 4 chains.

  • Complete each round as before and join with a sl st.

Creating Pineapples:

  • After round 10, mark certain V-stitches as indicated and start to create the pineapple pattern.
  • Work fan stitches, chain spaces, and special clusters to start forming the pineapple shapes.
  • Each pineapple pattern is several rows and involves creating increasingly larger chain spaces to form the pineapple's body.

Finishing the Pineapples:

  • Gradually decrease the chain spaces in each row following the pattern given.
  • Once the pineapple patterns are completed, you'll have a series of these motifs running down the length of the runner.

Cutting Yarn and Completing Project:

  • Once you've completed the crochet runner according to the length you desire, cut the yarn and weave in the ends to finish your project.
