Part 1: The Foot/Toe (Half Double Crochet)
- Start with a slip stitch and chain 3 or create a magic ring.
- Slip stitch into the first chain to form a loop.
- Chain 1 and make 12 hdc into the loop.
- Slip stitch to close.
- Chain 1, make 2 hdc in every stitch (24 stitches total).
- Slip stitch to close.

- For a looser fit, you may add an extra increase row, alternating increases.
- Chain 1, hdc in each stitch around for 24 rows.
- Slip stitch to close each round.
The Heel Flap and Seaming (Half Double Crochet)
- Work over 14 hdc for the heel flap.
- Chain 1, turn, and continue with 14 hdc for 8 rows.
