Materials
- Cotton yarn (sport or light DK weight)
- 2 mm crochet hook
- 1 mm crochet hook (for beads)
- Transparent beads (optional)

Bikini Front
- Make a slip knot and chain 9
- Chain 3 more, double crochet into 4th chain from hook
- Double crochet across for 10 stitches total
- Chain 2 and turn each row, maintaining 10 stitches
- Repeat rows until height reaches 5 cm (approx. 7 rows)

Increasing Rows
- Row 1: Chain 2, double crochet in same stitch, dc across, dc twice in last stitch (12 stitches total)
- Row 2: Chain 2, dc across with no increases
- Row 3: Chain 2, dc in same stitch, dc across, dc twice in last stitch (14 stitches total)
- Alternate increase and no-increase rows until 10 cm height (approx. 14 rows)
- Continue with increase rows every row until height is 20 cm

Fan Border (Top Edge)
- Chain 1, single crochet in same stitch
- Skip 2 stitches, make 5 dc in next stitch (fan stitch)
- Skip 2 stitches, single crochet in next
- Repeat across the top edge
Side Cords (Front)
- Chain 130 on one side of the bikini front
- Thread a bead onto the chain using a 1 mm hook
- Switch to 2 mm hook and slip stitch into second chain from hook to secure bead
- Slip stitch back through each chain to bikini edge
- Slip stitch into the base of the fan border to attach
- Repeat on opposite side
Bikini Back
- Attach yarn to other side of the starting edge
- Chain 2, double crochet across with no increases for 4 rows

Increasing Rows (Back)
- Row 1: Chain 2, dc in same stitch, dc across, dc twice in last stitch
- Row 2: Chain 2, dc across with no increases
- Continue alternating increase and no-increase rows

Decorative Fan Border (Waist and Side Cords)
- On side cord, count 19 slip stitches from bikini and attach yarn
- Chain 1, sc in same stitch
- Skip 2, fan stitch in next
- Skip 2, sc in next
- Make 3 total fan stitches along the cord

Side Edges
- Work down the side of the bikini:
- Skip one row space
- Fan stitch in next space
- Skip next space
- Sc in following space
- Repeat pattern along side until you reach next cord
- Join with sc at corner
Repeat on Second Cord and Side
- Mirror the decorative fan pattern along second front cord and opposite side of bikini back
Finishing
- Weave in all ends securely using a tapestry needle
