Materials

  • Yarn: Light worsted/DK weight (Category 3), approx. 167 g
  • Hook: 5.5 mm crochet hook
  • Notions: Scissors and tapestry needle
  • Scarf Dimensions: Approx. 196 cm long x 26 cm wide

Foundation: Starting Chain

  • Secure the first stitch
  • Chain until the chain reaches the full desired length of your scarf

Crochet Men’s Scarf 1

Single Crochet Base

  • Skip the first chain from the hook
  • Work 1 Single Crochet (SC) into the back bump of the second chain from the hook and into every chain across

Single Crochet Border

  • Chain 1 and turn
  • Work 1 SC in every stitch across the row

Double Crochet Setup

  • Chain 2 and turn
  • Skip the first stitch

  • Work 1 Double Crochet (DC) into each stitch across

Woven Texture Pattern

  • Chain 2 and turn

  • Repeat across the row: skip 1 stitch, DC in next, FPHDC around skipped stitch

  • Work 1 SC in every stitch across

Repeating the Motif

  • Repeat Rows 3, 4, and 5 until the scarf reaches your desired width
  • For color changes, switch on the last yarn over of Row 5 and work an extra SC row in the new color before returning to Row 3
