Crochet Heart Keychain
Materials:
- Yarn in your desired color
- Stuffing
- 3 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle

- Blank earring hooks (optional)
Abbreviations:
- Ch: Chain
- Sc: Single crochet
- Inc: Increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
- Dec: Decrease (skip the next stitch)
- Sl St: Slip stitch
Instructions:
Create the Base:
Round 1:
- Ch 2 (counts as the first half double crochet), half double crochet 6 in the second chain. Join with a Sl St to the first half double crochet. (6 stitches)
For Round 2:
- Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), Inc, Sc. Repeat around. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc. (12 stitches)
Rounds 3-4:
Ch 1, Sc in each stitch. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc. (12 stitches)
Create the Second Half:
Round 5:
- Ch 1, Sc in the first 6 stitches. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc.
For Round 6:
- Ch 1, Dec, Sc, Sc. Repeat around. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc. (18 stitches)
Round 7:
- Ch 1, Sc in each stitch. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc. (18 stitches)
Round 8:
- Ch 1, Dec, Sc, Sc. Repeat around. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc. (12 stitches)
For Round 9:
Ch 1, Sc in each stitch. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc. (12 stitches)
Round 10:
- Ch 1, Dec in each stitch. Join with a Sl St to the first Sc. (6 stitches)
Stuff and Close:
- Stuff the heart with stuffing.
Round 11:
- Ch 1, Sl St in each stitch. Pull the tail to close the hole. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.
