Materials Needed:

  • 3mm Hook
  • White Yarn (Milk Cotton recommended)
  • Pink and Black Yarn (for the face)
  • Stitch Markers
  • Needle
  • Button
  • Scissors
  • Keychain hook (optional)

Ghost Arms (Make 2):

Round 1:

  • Single crochet (sc) 5 into a magic ring. Pull tail to close.

Round 2:

  • Increase in each stitch around (10 sc at the end).

In Rounds 3-4:

  • Sc in each stitch around for two more rounds. Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing on one of the arms.

Ghost Frills (Make 3):

  • Follow the same pattern as the arms with one less round. For the third frill, do not cut the yarn as it will be used to start the body.

Connecting Frills to Form the Body:

  • On your working frill, sc into the next 5 stitches.
  • Chain 2, then sc into any stitch on the next frill.
  • On this new frill, sc into the next 4 stitches.
  • Repeat previous steps, chaining 2 then connecting to the final frill.
  • After connecting all frills, you should have 38 sc at the end of the round.

Body:

Rounds 5-26:

  • Sc in each stitch around until you reach round 26.

In Round 27:

  • Sc in the next 21 stitches, chain 14 (loosely for the pouch opening), skip 16 stitches from the round below, and then sc in the final stitch. You should have 36 stitches.

Round 28-29:

  • Sc in each stitch around for a total of 36 stitches each round.

Adding the Face and Arms:

  • At round 26, sew the eyes 6 stitches apart and place the mouth between the eyes at round 25. Blush is sewn at rounds 23-25, while the arms start at round 24.

Top Part (Head):

Round 30:

  • Start with 1 sc, then two decreases, followed by 9 sc, and another two decreases. Repeat the sequence once more for a total of 28 stitches.

Round 31:

  • Sc in each stitch around (28 sc total).

In Round 32:

  • Sc1, then do two decreases, 5 sc, and repeat the decrease. Repeat the sequence for a total of 20 stitches.

Round 33:

  • 1 sc followed by two decreases, repeating the sequence for a total of 12 stitches.

Round 34 (final):

  • Decrease 6 times loosely, then fasten off and sew the top closed.

Finishing Touches:

  • Sew a button on the back. Crochet a chain long enough to loop over the button and fasten securely.
  • For a keychain version, attach the keychain hook through a crochet loop or a jump ring.
