Materials Needed:
- Three colors of yarn (of your choice, and strength depending on dog's chewing habits)
- Crochet hook (size 3.75 mm for the yarn used)
- Needle
- Scissors
- Stuffing material
Pattern Instructions

Start the Project:
- Begin with a slip knot.
- Chain 40 stitches.
First Row:
- Once you have your 40 chains, make one additional chain to start the first row.
- Begin single crocheting in the second chain from the hook.
- Continue single crocheting until you have a total of 40 single crochets for the row.
Second Row:
- Chain one to turn.
- Single crochet into the back loops only, all the way down the row.
Next Rows:
- Continue the pattern (single crochet back loop only) until you have 12 rows completed.
Creating the Ends:
- Bring the first row up to meet the 12th row and sew these together with single crochets.
- Leave enough yarn on the end for sewing later.
- Tie a couple of knots to secure the tail end.

Repeat:
- Make another piece (panel) exactly the same as the first one with the ends sewn up.
- Create a third panel, but this time do not sew the ends up.
Assembly:
- Feed one panel through another, making sure the seams are on the inside and hidden.
- Take the third panel (the one not sewn up) and feed it through the second panel.
- Sew the edges together to secure the ball while ensuring that the seams are hidden.
Closing and Stuffing:
- Tuck in all your ends except for the long tails meant for sewing.
- Stuff the ball until it reaches your desired firmness, pulling the panels outward to cover any gaps.
- Stitch each intersection or corner to secure the shape and prevent the stuffing from escaping.
Creating the I-cord:
- Cut three strands of yarn, about two arms-length each.
- Make a slip knot, ensuring that one length is a third longer than the others.
- Begin to make the I-cord by using the longer length of yarn to yarn over and pull through.
- Continue until the I-cord is long enough for your liking, then finish it off.

Attach the I-cord:
- Attach the I-cord to the fetch ball by tying it securely.

- Weave the ends of the I-cord into the ball to hide them.
Complete the Toy:
- Make sure all the seams and ends are hidden and the I-cord is attached firmly.
- The fetch ball is now complete and ready for your dog or can even be made as a toy for babies.
