Final Rows (Border): Linked Double Crochet
- After completing the half double crochet rows, work two more rows of linked double crochet with the dark color so the pattern matches the beginning.
Edging:
- Work a single row of single crochet along the bottom edge, to prevent curling.
Seaming:
- Fold the project in half and use single crochets to join the sides to where your stitch marker is placed to form the shoulder portion.
Adding Buttons:
- Attach the denim buttons along the edge, starting from the shoulder fold down. Optional: also attach buttons along the inside edge to give the illusion of functionality.
Fringe:
- Cut strands of yarn twice as long as you want the fringe to be, loop them through the stitches along the bottom edge of the poncho, and secure them.
