Materials
- 3-ply yarn
- 3 mm crochet hook
- Make a slip knot and chain 42
Establishing the Yoke
- Skip 3 chains and make 1 DC in the 4th chain
- Make 6 DC for the first front side
- Chain 1 and make 1 DC in the same stitch for Corner 1
- Make 10 DC for Sleeve 1
- In the 10th DC space chain 1 and make 1 DC for Corner 2
- Make 12 DC for the back side
- In the 12th stitch chain 1 and make 1 DC for Corner 3
- Make 10 DC for Sleeve 2
- In the 10th DC space chain 1 and make 1 DC for Corner 4
- Make 6 DC for the second front side

Increasing the Yoke
- Chain 2 and turn
- Make 1 DC in each stitch until the chain 1 space
- In each chain 1 space make 1 DC chain 1 and 1 DC
- Continue DC stitches to each corner
- Repeat corner increases for a total of 8 rows
Separating the Sleeves
- Chain 2 and turn
- Make 1 DC in each stitch until the first section space
- Make 1 DC in the section space skip all sleeve stitches and make 1 DC in the next section space
- Make DC stitches across the back
- Make 1 DC in the next section space skip sleeve stitches and make 1 DC in the next section space
- Make DC stitches across the remaining front side

Cardigan Body
- Chain 2 turn and make 1 DC in each stitch
- Repeat DC rows until the length reaches about 11 inches
Edging and Ribbing
- Chain 2 and work FPDC then BPDC across the bottom border
- Join yarn on the right edge chain 1 and make 4 rows of SC for the button band
- On the left edge make 2 rows of SC
- For buttonholes chain 2 skip 2 SC and continue SC across
- Make SC stitches in each chain 2 space on the next row

Sleeve Pattern
- Join yarn at the armhole
- Chain 2 make DC2TOG then make DC around and finish with DC2TOG join with SS
- Make 6 rows in Color B and 6 rows in Color C or 11 total DC rows
- Start each row with chain 2 and join with SS
- Make 2 rows of FPDC and BPDC for the sleeve border

Cap Pattern
- Make a Magic Ring chain 2 and make 11 DC
- Chain 2 make 1 DC then make 2 DC in each stitch around
- Make 2 DC in one stitch then 1 DC in the next repeat around
- Make 2 DC in one stitch then 1 DC in the next two stitches repeat
- Make 1 DC in each stitch until the cap reaches 4.5 to 5 inches
- Make 2 rows of FPDC and BPDC ribbing to finish
