Materials

  • Yarn in pink, peach, and gray
  • 4mm crochet hook
  • Stitch marker
  • Darning needle
  • Scissors
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Cardboard circle (for base)

Breast (Nipple and Areola) Crochet Pattern

Starting the Nipple and Areola (Following the "Crochet Boobies" Pattern)

  • Round 1: Make 7 single crochets (sc) in a magic ring, join (7 stitches)
  • Round 2: Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch around, join (7 stitches)
  • Round 3: Chain 1, half double crochet (hdc) in each stitch around, join (7 stitches)
  • Round 4: Chain 1, make 2 single crochets (2sc) in each stitch around, join (14 stitches)

Note: 2sc = 2 single crochets in the same stitch

  • Round 5: Chain 1, 1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat around, join (21 stitches)
  • Round 6: Chain 1, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, repeat around, join (28 stitches)
  • Round 7: Chain 1, 3 sc, 2 sc, repeat around, join and change to light brown yarn (35 stitches)

Breast (Continuous Rounds)

 

Work in continuous rounds (no joining at end)

  • Round 8: Chain 1, 2 sc, place stitch marker on first sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 2 sc, repeat around (42 stitches)
  • Round 9: 5 sc, 2 sc, repeat around (49 stitches)
  • Round 10: Sc in each stitch around (49 stitches)
  • Round 11: 2 sc, 3 sc, repeat around (56 stitches)
  • Round 12: 7 sc, 2 sc, repeat around (63 stitches)
  • Round 13: Sc in each stitch around (63 stitches)
  • Round 14: 4 sc, 2 sc, 4 sc, repeat around (70 stitches)
  • Rounds 15 to 20: Sc in each stitch around, join and fasten off (70 stitches)

Base Cover Crochet Pattern

Preparing the Cardboard Base

  • Trace a circle onto cardboard using a canister or similar object
  • Cut the circle slightly smaller than traced line (about 1 cm smaller)

Crocheting the Base Cover

  • Round 1: Make 7 sc in a magic ring, join (7 stitches)
  • Round 2: Chain 1, 2 sc in each stitch around, join (14 stitches)
  • Round 3: Chain 1, 1 sc, 2 sc, repeat around, join (21 stitches)
  • Round 4: Chain 1, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc, repeat around, join (28 stitches)
  • Round 5: Chain 1, 3 sc, 2 sc, repeat around, join (35 stitches)
  • Round 6: Chain 1, 2 sc, 2 sc, 2 sc, repeat around, join (42 stitches)
  • Round 7: Chain 1, 5 sc, 2 sc, repeat around, join (49 stitches)
  • Round 8: Chain 1, 3 sc, 2 sc, 3 sc, repeat around, join (56 stitches)
  • Round 9: 7 sc, 2 sc, repeat around, join (63 stitches)
  • Round 10: Chain 1, 4 sc, 2 sc, 4 sc, repeat around, join and set aside (70 stitches)

Do not cut yarn

Assembly Instructions

  • Attach cardboard to crocheted base using fabric glue, press firmly
  • Stuff the nipple portion of the breast with fiberfill
  • Use fabric glue around nipple base to secure fiberfill
  • Insert crochet hook into last round of breast portion
  • Using yarn from base cover, chain 1 and join breast and base by single crocheting in each stitch around
  • Stuff breast with fiberfill as you crochet to join the two pieces

Crochet Breastfeeding Props 4

Shoulder Strap Instructions

  • Make half double crochet (hdc) 9 times to start the strap
  • Chain 1, turn, hdc in each stitch; repeat until desired strap length
  • Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing
  • Make a second identical strap for the other breast
  • Sew one end of each strap to the top of each breast, ensuring straps are not twisted
  • Weave in all loose ends
