Materials
- Six skeins blue yarn
- Small amount of white yarn
- 5 mm hook
- 3 mm hook
Back Piece
Ribbing
- Start with 9 chains.
- Work 8 single crochet.
- Chain 1 and turn.
- Work single crochet in the back loop only.
- Repeat this until you complete 60 rows.

Main Body
- Chain 1 and work 83 single crochet along the ribbing.
- Work single crochet in the first stitch, then chain 1, skip 1 stitch, single crochet in the next stitch and repeat to the end.
- For all following rows work single crochet into each single crochet from the previous row and work chain 1 over each chain space.
- Continue this pattern for 55 rows.
Shoulder Shaping
- Count 33 stitches from each side and place markers.
- Work 3 additional pattern rows on each side up to the markers.
- Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Front Pieces

Ribbing
- Make two identical pieces.
- Work 8 single crochet rows using back loop only single crochet.
- Continue until you have 22 rows.
Main Body
- Chain 1 and work 33 single crochet along the ribbing edge.
- Continue the same single crochet and chain 1 pattern used in the back piece.
- Work a total of 58 rows.
- Fasten off.
Sleeves

Cuff Ribbing
- Make two pieces.
- Work the same 8 single crochet back loop only ribbing for 20 rows.
- Fold the ribbing and slip stitch the edges to form a cuff.
Sleeve Body
- Attach yarn to the cuff and chain 2.
- Work 65 single crochet evenly around the cuff.
- Slip stitch to join the round.
- Chain 1 and turn.
- Work the single crochet and chain 1 pattern in the round.
- Slip stitch to the first single crochet to close each round.
- Always chain 1 and turn before starting the next round.

- Repeat this bump sequence all around the oval.
- Make 4 large clouds.
Small Cloud
- Chain 9 and complete the same steps as the large cloud.
- Make 4 small clouds.
Assembly and Finishing
- Lay the back and front pieces flat and sew the shoulder seams.
- Attach the sleeves to the armholes.
- Sew the side seams and sleeve seams from underarm to cuff.
- Start the collar ribbing with 8 chains and work 122 rows using back loop only single crochet.
- Sew the collar ribbing around the neckline while gently stretching it.
- Sew the cloud motifs onto the cardigan where desired.
