Starting with Yellow Yarn

  • Make a slip knot
  • Chain 22

Row 1

  • Single crochet in the second chain from the hook and across the foundation chain (21 stitches)

Rows 2-6

  • Chain 1, turn, single crochet decrease, then single crochet across the rest of the row
  • Row 2: 20 stitches
  • Row 3: 19 stitches
  • Row 4: 18 stitches
  • Row 5: 17 stitches
  • Row 6: 16 stitches

For Row 7

  • Chain 1, turn, single crochet decrease, single crochet across
  • On the last stitch, change to orange yarn to finish the single crochet (15 stitches)
  • Cut the yellow yarn

Rows 8-13 (with Orange Yarn)

  • Chain 1, turn, single crochet decrease, then single crochet across the rest of the row
  • Row 8: 14 stitches
  • Row 9: 13 stitches
  • Row 10: 12 stitches
  • Row 11: 11 stitches
  • Row 12: 10 stitches
  • Row 13: 9 stitches

Row 14

  • Chain 1, turn, single crochet decrease, single crochet across
  • On the last stitch, change to white yarn to finish the single crochet (8 stitches)
  • Cut the orange yarn
