Materials

  • Yarn: Lion Brand Pound of Love (Medium 4-weight yarn)
  • Color A: Claret/Bordeaux
  • Color B: Oxford Gray
  • Color C: Antique White
  • Hook: 6.5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Stitches Used: Extended Half Double Crochet (EHDC), Stacked Single Crochet, Puff Stitch, Double Crochet 2 Together (DC2TOG), Half Double Crochet (HDC)

Gauge: The pattern is made to measure. Adjust stitch counts and row numbers to fit your body.

Part 1: Main Body (Worked Flat in Rows)

The entire body is worked flat in rows, creating the bottom edges of the front panels, the back panel, and top edges of the front panels in one continuous piece.

Color A (Example: 37 Rows)

  • Create a foundation of EHDC stitches. Ensure the stitch count is an even number.
  • Example: 112 stitches

Rows 2-36:

  • Work EHDC in each stitch across.
  • Example: 35 rows

  • Work Puff Stitch in every other stitch. End with a regular DC stitch.

Color Change:

  • Join Color B seamlessly.
  • Color B (Example: 28 Rows)

Row 1 (EHDC BLO):

  • Work EHDC in Back Loop Only for each stitch.

Rows 2-27:

  • Continue with EHDC across.

Row 28 (Puff Stitch Row):

  • Repeat Puff Stitch Row pattern from Color A.

Color Change:

  • Change to Color C.
  • Color C (Example: 2 Rows)

Rows 1-2 (EHDC BLO):

  • Work EHDC in Back Loop Only.

Top Panels (Worked Flat in Rows - Color C)

The front and back panels are worked separately using Color C. The height of these panels determines the armhole depth.

Top Right Front Panel (Rows 1-14)

Assembly and Sleeves

ForRow 2 (HDC):

  • Work Puff Stitch around.

Fasten Off:

  • Weave in all ends.
