Materials
- 4 mm crochet hook (check yarn label for guidance)
- Lightweight summer yarn (any leftover yarn works)
- Stitch markers and scissors
Foundation (Neckline)
- Make a slip knot
- Chain an even number of stitches that fits comfortably over your head (example used 124 chains)
- Join with a slip stitch into the first chain to form a round

Mesh Pattern Rows (Yoke Start)
- Row 1: Chain 5 (counts as 1 tr + 1 ch), skip 1 stitch, 1 tr in next stitch, ch 1, repeat around, join with slip stitch into 4th chain of starting ch-5
- Row 2: Chain 5 (1 tr + 1 ch), skip next ch-1 space, 1 tr in top of next tr, ch 1, repeat around, join into 4th chain of starting ch-5
Increasing Section (Yoke/Shoulders)
- Place stitch markers to divide stitches into 4 equal sections
- First Increase Row: Work mesh pattern to stitch marker, in marker stitch make (1 tr, ch 2, 1 tr), repeat at all four corners
- Subsequent Rows: Work mesh pattern, at each corner ch-2 space make (1 tr, ch 2, 1 tr) with skipped stitches on either side, repeat until yoke reaches mid-chest (about 9 increase rows)

Armhole Creation
- Work mesh to first ch-2 corner space, make 1 tr
- Chain the number needed for armhole depth (example 20)
- Skip shoulder section and connect with 1 tr into next ch-2 space
- Work mesh across back, repeat chain for second armhole, connect into fourth ch-2 space
- Continue mesh pattern to finish row and join

Body Section
- Continue mesh pattern in the round with no increases
- Work mesh directly into armhole chains
- Continue rows until reaching desired length (example 12 rows after armhole separation for a total of 24 rows)

Sleeves (Optional)
- Attach yarn at underarm chain and chain 5 to start
- Mark corner points where armhole chain meets body
- Work mesh pattern around sleeve, using treble two together (tr2tog) at each corner to decrease
- Repeat decrease row as needed, then continue mesh pattern without decreases until sleeve reaches desired length
