Crochet Spicy Heart Bikini Top

Materials Needed:
- Black owned yarn line called "Four Fibers" (50 grams, about 75 yards, a mixture of cotton and acrylic).
- Size 4.25 mm crochet hook.
- Scissors.
Starting the Heart:
- Begin with a slip knot on your crochet hook.
- Chain 4 (wrap yarn around, pull through to form each chain).
- Create a magic circle by inserting the hook into the first chain made, wrap yarn around, then pull through both loops on the hook.
Creating the First Half of the Heart:
- Chain 4, then perform 4 double crochets (DC) into the center of the magic circle.
- Follow by 2 treble crochets (TC) into the center.
- Chain 4 again, then slip stitch into the center.
Creating the Second Half of the Heart:
- Mirror the first half by starting with a chain of 4.
- Do 2 treble crochets into the center.
- Continue with 4 double crochets into the middle.
- Find the last chain of the beginning chain 4, insert hook, and create a slip stitch pulling tight. This completes your mini heart.
Pattern:

Starting the Bikini Bottom:
- Begin with a slip knot or slip stitch.
- Chain 15 for extra small/small size. Adjust chain length for larger sizes (18-22 for medium, more than 22 for large).
Shaping the Bikini Bottom:
- While turning your work, skip one at the beginning, then continue with a half-double crochet (HDC) through to the end of each row.
- To create a triangular shape for a bikini, reduce one stitch at the beginning of each row until reaching the desired shape. For a more covered look, consider slower decreases.
Thong Adjustment:
- Once the desired width is reached at the top, reduce the width to three HDCs (or two, based on your preference) to start forming the thong part. Continue back and forth for about 12 rows for XS/S, adjusting the number of rows based on the size as detailed above.
Finishing Touches:
- After reaching the desired length for the thong part, attach the previously created mini heart to the front of the bikini bottom using a chain of about 5 stitches.
- Finalize the bikini with straps for tying around the waist. Use the slip knot technique and chain a length suitable for the waist size or desired length. Also, consider adding a single crochet edge along the thong for a cleaner finish.
