Crochet Lacy Cardigan

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crocheter, the pattern’s flexibility allows for easy adjustments, making it ideal for creating the perfect cardigan that fits your personal style. The cardigan consists of five separate panels — back, front, and sleeves — all worked in one piece, reducing the need for complicated seaming.
The pattern is straightforward and offers a satisfying challenge, making it a must-try for crochet enthusiasts looking to make a timeless wardrobe piece.
Initial Measurement & Panel Preparation

The chain count for your foundation row must be a multiple of 8, plus 3 (Multiple of 8 + 3).
- Back Panel (x1) Chain until it covers your shoulder-to-shoulder width. 96 + 3 chains (99 total) 32
- Front Panels (x2) Chain until it covers the width of the front, skipping the ribbing area. 40 + 3 chains (43 total) 32
- Sleeves (x2) Chain until it covers your arm circumference. 80 + 3 chains (83 total) 45
Setup Row (Foundation)
- Make a slip knot and chain a length that is a Multiple of 8 + 3.
- Yarn over and skip the first 3 chains (this counts as your first Double Crochet).
- Make Double Crochet (DC) in the back bump of the fourth chain and in every chain across the row.
Row 1 (Lace Pattern)
- Chain 4 (counts as the first Triple Crochet/Treble Crochet) and turn your work.
- Make two Triple Crochets (TR) in the same first stitch.
- Chain 1, skip 3 stitches, and make one TR in the fourth stitch.
- Chain 1, skip 3 stitches, and make five TR (this is the 'flower' section) in the fourth stitch.
- Repeat steps 3-6 until you reach the last stitch.
- In the final stitch, make three TR.

Row 2 (Lace Pattern)
- Chain 5 (counts as one TR and one Chain 1) and turn your work.
- Make five TR in the first stitch (the top of the 3 TR cluster from the previous row).
- Chain 1, skip the next two stitches, and make one TR into the middle TR of the 5 TR cluster from the previous row.
- Chain 1, make five TR into the next single TR stitch from the previous row.
- Repeat steps 3-6 until the end.
- In the last space, make one TR.
Assembly

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until you reach the required number of rows for each of your five panels.
Shoulder Seams
- Place the Right Sides of the two front panels and the back panel facing each other.
- Attach the new yarn and seam the shoulder parts together using Single Crochet (SC).
- Attach the five TR clusters of the front panel to the five TR clusters of the back panel using SC.
- Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Attach Sleeves
- With the Right Sides facing each other, align the top of the sleeve panel to the armhole opening created by the shoulder seams.
- Attach the sleeve to the body panels by working approximately three SC in each space along the side of the panel rows.
Side Seams
- Fold the entire cardigan with the Wrong Side facing out.
- Start from the cuff of the sleeve and use SC to seam the sleeve and the side of the body panels.
- Use approximately four SC to join the 'flower' (five TR) sections and three SC to join the 'space' (single TR) sections, keeping the seam loose.
Finishing Touches

Edging (Ribbing)
- Attach yarn to the bottom corner and Chain 3.
- Work a row of Double Crochet (DC) all the way around the entire edge of the cardigan (front opening, neck, and bottom).
- Make approximately three DC in each space when working along the raw edges (sides of the rows).
- Fasten off your work.
Accessorize
You can leave the cardigan as-is for a front-tie style or add buttons or ribbons.
