Materials

  • Two skeins of Mohair Kim Sa yarn (Color Code 17 recommended)
  • 5.0 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle, scissors, stitch markers

Necktie (Bow) – Chained Double Strand

  • Use both yarn skeins together as one strand.
  • Create a slip knot and chain 5 loosely.
  • Single crochet into the 4th chain from hook, mark it, then single crochet in remaining 3 chains.
  • Turn without chaining up, single crochet across (4 stitches each row).

Crochet Lace Halter Top 1

  • Continue until the strap is ~90–95 cm.
  • Chain 1 and fasten off.

Yoke – Front Panel (Single Strand)

  • Fold the necktie in half. Mark 5 rows from center and another mark 10 rows down.
  • From first mark, count 20 rows right and left and mark both.
  • Attach yarn at purple mark.

Row 1

  • Make a standing double crochet, mark it.
  • Skip 1 stitch, 3 double crochet in next.
  • Repeat (skip 1, 1 DC, skip 1, 3 DC) 5 times.
  • Finish with 1 DC in the last marked stitch.

  • Turn, no chain. Standing double crochet, mark it.
  • Repeat Row 1 pattern. Finish with 1 DC.

For Row 3 (Increase)

  • Standing double crochet, mark it.

  • Repeat (skip 1, 1 DC, skip 1, 5 DC) 5 times.
  • Finish with 1 DC.

  • Standing double crochet, mark it.
  • Skip 1, 1 DC, 3 DC, 1 DC.
  • Repeat sequence 5 times. End with 1 DC.

Row 5

  • Standing double crochet, mark it.

  • Repeat sequence 5 times. End with 1 DC.

For Row 6

  • Standing double crochet, mark it.
  • Skip 1, 1 DC in next 2, 3 DC, 1 DC in next 2.
  • Repeat sequence 5 times. End with 1 DC.

  • Chain 1, half double crochet in first stitch, mark it.
  • Chain 5, skip 3, slip stitch.
  • Chain 5, skip 3, half double crochet.
  • Repeat until end. Before last stitch, join second yarn for back.
  • End with half double crochet.

Row 8

  • Standing double crochet.
  • In chain space, 5 double crochet.
  • In slip stitch, 1 double crochet.
  • In next chain space, 5 double crochet.
  • In HDC, 1 double crochet.
  • Repeat pattern. (61 DCs total)

For Row 9

  • 1 double crochet in each stitch across. (61 DCs)

Row 10 (Increase)

  • Work 6 DC, then 3 DC in one stitch.
  • 11 DC, 3 DC in one stitch (repeat 4 times), 6 DC.

Row 11

  • 1 DC in each stitch across.

For Row 12 (Increase)

  • 7 DC, 3 DC in one stitch.
  • 13 DC, 3 DC in one stitch (repeat 4 times), 7 DC.

Crochet Lace Halter Top 5

For Row 13

  • 1 DC in each stitch across.

Row 14 (Increase)

  • 8 DC, 3 DC in one stitch.
  • 15 DC, 3 DC in one stitch (repeat 4 times), 8 DC.

Row 15 (Size L only)

  • 1 DC in each stitch across.

Chain 1 and cut yarn to finish front panel.

Yoke – Back Panel

  • Repeat all front panel steps.
  • Do not cut the yarn at the end.

Joining Front and Back Panels + Body

  • Join final stitch of back to first of front with double crochet join.
  • Work DC across front.
  • Join final stitch of front to first of back.
  • Work DC across back.
  • Slip stitch to join round.

Next Row (Increase)

  • Standing DC, 7 DC, 3 DC in one.
  • 17 DC, 3 DC in one (repeat 9 times), 9 DC.
  • Slip stitch to join.

Rows 17–25 (Size M) / 18–26 (Size L)

  • Alternate normal and increase rows.
  • In increase rows, 3 DC always go in center DC from previous 3-DC cluster.
  • Use stitch markers to keep track.
  • Slip stitch to join rounds.

Bottom Lace Border

Row 26 (Size M) / 27 (Size L)

  • Chain 1, HDC in first stitch, mark it.
  • Chain 4, skip 4 stitches, HDC in 5th.
  • Repeat pattern, slip stitch to join.

  • Standing DC, chain 2, create picot (slip stitch into base of DC).
  • In chain space: 4 DC.
  • In HDC: 1 DC, chain 2, picot.
  • Repeat across row.

Finishing

  • Weave in all loose ends securely.
