Crochet Front-Tie Top

The pattern includes detailed steps on shaping bra cups, joining, adding rows, ties, and adjustable straps to help you get the fit just right. Plus, it’s beginner-friendly and a great stash-busting project. You can even adjust the size and length to suit your personal style!
Materials Needed
- Acrylic yarn
- Tape measure
- Scissors
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
Bra Cups (Make Two)
- Create a slip knot and chain 18.
- Row 1: Insert your hook into the 4th chain from the hook, make double crochets (dc) across.
- Row 2: Chain 2, turn, skip first stitch, dc in each stitch across.
- At the chain-2 space: make 5 dc into that space. Place a stitch marker on the 3rd dc.

Next Rows:
- Start with a dc into the chain-2 space.
- Continue with dc across.
- At stitch marker, remove it, make 5 dc into that space, mark the 3rd dc again.
Repeat until the desired cup size:
- Cup A: 5 inches
- Cup B: 6 inches
- Cup C: 7 inches
- Cup D: 8 inches
Joining the Cups
- Make a slip knot and attach to one side of a cup.
- Chain to make a 16-inch chain.
- Attach to the other bra cup (each cup is 5 inches, total 26 inches).
- Chain 1 and cut the yarn.
Adding Rows to the Base

- Join yarn with a slip knot at the edge of one bra cup.
Row 1:
- Chain 2, make dc across.
- Add dc between rows and in chain spaces.
Row 2:
- Chain 2, turn.
- Make two incomplete dc, finish them together.
- Chain 5, skip one stitch.
- Repeat the group of 3 incomplete dc, finish together, chain 5.
- End with dc on chain-2 space.

For Row 3:
- Chain 2, turn.
- Dc on cluster from previous row, chain 2.
- Single crochet in chain spaces. Repeat.
Row 4:
- Chain 2, turn.
- 2 dc in same stitch.
- Chain 1, then make 3 dc in the third chain of the 5-chain space.
- Repeat.

Row 5:
- Chain 2, turn.
- Dc in next space and continue with dc across the row.
Repeat the pattern until your desired length.
Adding Front Ties
- Make a slip knot, join to one side of the top.
- Chain approximately 26 inches for the tie.
- Repeat on the opposite side.

Creating Straps
- Make a slip knot and insert your hook into the top of the bra cup.
- Chain to desired strap length.
Optional: add single or double crochets. For this design, chains only were used.
