Easy & Cute Crochet Ghost Puppy Amigurumi Tutorial Step By Step

Imagine cuddling with an adorable little ghost puppy made by your own hands! This Crochet Ghost Puppy Amigurumi is a playful project that turns soft yarn into a sweet, spooky friend. With some simple loops and stitches, you'll bring to life a charming toy that's perfect for Halloween or any time you need a ghostly companion.

Crochet Ghost Puppy Amigurumi

Materials:

  • White yarn
  • Black yarn for the eyes
  • Red yarn for the collar
  • Crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stuffing material

Body Pattern:

Magic Circle:

  • Start with a magic circle and work 7 single crochets (sc) into it.

Round 1:

  • Work 2 sc in each stitch around (14 sc total).

Round 2:

  • Work in the back loops only for some stitches to prepare for ear attachment:
  • 1 sc in the first two stitches
  • In the next three stitches, work only in the back loops
  • 1 sc in the next four stitches
  • Again, in back loops only for the next three stitches
  • 1 sc in the last two stitches

In Rounds 3 to 6:

  • 1 sc in each stitch around.

Decrease Round:

  • Work decreases around, by crocheting two stitches together through back loops only, to shape the head.
  • Stuff the body.
  • Close the round and weave in the end.

Blanket Part of Body

Blanket Setup:

  • Insert hook into exposed loops from a previous round.
  • Work the following:
  • Chain 2, then a double crochet (dc) in the same stitch.
  • Dc, then three half-double crochets (hdc),
  • Five sc,
  • Two hdc, then dc and hdc in the same stitch,
  • Finish with two dc in the last stitch.

Edging Round:

  • Chain 1, then hdc in the first stitch, one sc in the next four stitches, slip stitch in the next five stitches, 5 sc, and end with an increased hdc in the last stitch.
  • Fasten off and weave in ends.

Ears:

Setup:

  • Attach yarn to the front loops left available from round 2.

Ear Shape:

  • Chain 1, turn, skip the first stitch, sc in the next two stitches.
  • Chain one, turn, sc across.
  • Chain one, turn, perform a sc decrease.
  • Chain one, turn, sc, then slip stitch. Leave a long tail for sewing.
  • Repeat for the second ear and stitch the ears to the body.

Face:

Eyes and Nose:

  • Use black yarn for eyes, sewing back and forth in the desired spot. For the nose, use similar methods as the body but work fewer rounds to create a smaller, compact shape.

Collar:

  • Use red yarn to stitch around the neck area of the puppy to simulate a collar.
