Materials and Measurements
- 3mm crochet hook
- Alize Cotton Gold yarn
- Measuring tape
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
Measurement Tip:
- Measure your hip area and chain accordingly. Example: for a 43" hip, work with a chain length suitable for 41".

Initial Rows
- Create a chain long enough to wrap around your hips.
- Slip stitch to join and form a loop.
- Chain 2.
- Double crochet (DC) in each loop around.
- Slip stitch to join the round.
- Chain 2, turn, and work DC in each stitch for 3 rows.
Creating Separation
- Use stitch markers to divide the piece:
- One DC before and one DC after your side points.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Chain 2, skip 2 stitches, work 2 DC in the third stitch.
- Repeat this (ch 2, skip 2, 2 DC) pattern up to the stitch marker.

Working Each Side
- Chain 2, turn.
- Continue the (2 DC, ch 2, 2 DC) pattern.
- Work 30–35 rows or until desired length.

Cleaning Up Corners
- Chain 2.

Waist String
