Granny Square Pattern:

Start with Color A (white)

Make a slip knot and chain 5.
Join with a slip stitch to form a ring.

Round 1:

Chain 3 (counts as the first double crochet).
Make 2 double crochets into the ring.
Chain 3, make 3 double crochets into the ring.
Repeat the [Chain 3, 3 double crochet into the ring] step two more times.
Chain 3 and join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3.

Change to Color B (blue)

Attach the new color with your preferred method and chain 3.
In each chain-3 space around, do:
3 double crochets, chain 1, [in corners:
3 double crochets, chain 3, 3 double crochets], chain 1.
Continue around and join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain 3.
