This adorable mini crochet Christmas stockings pattern is a fun, fast, and festive project perfect for the holiday season. Ideal for beginners and quick crafters, it uses simple stitches like double crochet and slip stitch to create a charming little stocking that can be used as a tree ornament, gift topper, or even a treat holder.

You can easily customize it with different colors or add small embellishments like buttons, bells, or embroidery to make each one unique. It’s a delightful way to add handmade warmth to your Christmas décor.

Materials

  • Yarn: Red Heart sparkly yarn or any medium-weight yarn
  • Hook: 4mm crochet hook
  • Other: Scissors
  • Decoration: Optional items like pins or embroidery

The Foot (Red Color)

  • Chain 13
  • Double Crochet (DC) in the third chain from the hook
  • Continue one DC in each stitch until the end of the chain
  • In the last stitch, insert 3 DC in the same stitch

Crochet Mini Stocking 1

  • Continue working down the opposite side of the starting chain with one DC in each stitch
  • Insert 1 DC into the same stitch as your initial chain 3
  • Connect with a slip stitch (SS) to the top of the starting chain 3
  • Chain 3, DC all around, connect with SS
  • Repeat the same for the next round
  • Fold the piece flat and connect both edges with 3 slip stitches to form the heel curve

The Upper Stocking (Red Color)

  • Chain 3 and DC all around
  • Connect with SS
  • Repeat for the next round

Crochet Mini Stocking 3

The Cuff and Hanger (White or Second Color)

  • Cut the red yarn and attach the white yarn with a slip stitch
  • Chain 3 and DC all around, then connect with SS
  • Chain 3 and DC for about 7 stitches
  • Chain 5 or 6 and slip stitch into the same stitch to form a small loop

Crochet Mini Stocking 5

  • Continue DC until the end of the round
  • Chain 15 to form a long loop
  • Connect with SS to the top of the starting chain 3
  • Cut yarn and secure the end
  • Weave in all ends and add any desired decorations
