Crochet Cardigan Pattern For Breezy Weather

Crochet Cardigan For Breezy Weather

Crochet breezy Cardigan

Materials:

  • White Yarn: 7 skeins (50g, 135m each)
  • Black Yarn: 1 skein
  • Crochet Hook: 4mm
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Needle
  • Yarn used: Airu Premium (cotton with acrylic cashmere)

Cardigan Body:

Chain Foundation:

  • For size XS/S, chain 29 + 3 (total 32 chains). Adjust the number of chains for larger sizes by adding multiples of 6 + 3 for the start of the row.

Row 1:

  • Double crochet into the fifth loop from the hook, making a total of five double crochets. Chain 1, skip 1 loop, make five double crochets. Continue the pattern till the end of the row.

Row 2:

  • Chain 1, turn your work. Starting from the second loop, make five single crochets, chain 1, skip 1 loop, and continue with five single crochets. Finish with a last single crochet in the last loop.

Repeat Row 1 & 2 Pattern:

  • Continue alternating between Row 1 and Row 2, making sure to finish with a double crochet row for a total of 22 rows before beginning armhole decreases.

Decreases for Armholes:

  • Begin making decreases at rows 10 and 14 by removing one stitch from both sides of the cardigan. Follow the pattern as established, making adjustments for the decreases.

Sleeves:

  • Chain 53 + 3 to start the row.
  • Begin repeating the same pattern as the cardigan body, making decreases starting from row 5 to narrow down the sleeve towards the wrist.

Joining Parts:
