  • 5-ply milk cotton yarn (yellow, brown, white)
  • 3mm crochet hook
  • Plastic yarn needle
  • 7mm eye beads
  • Stuffing fiber

Bee Body

  • Make a magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc)
  • Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (12 sts)
  • Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat around (18 sts)
  • Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc) repeat around (24 sts)
  • Round 5: (3 sc, 1 inc) repeat around (30 sts)

Before finishing last stitch of Round 5, switch to brown yarn

  • Rounds 6-7: 1 sc in each stitch (30 sts)
  • Switch back to yellow yarn
  • Rounds 8-9: 1 sc in each stitch (30 sts)
  • Switch to brown yarn again
  • Rounds 10-11: 1 sc in each stitch (30 sts)

Insert safety eyes between Rounds 8–9 with 6 stitches apart

  • Round 12: (3 sc, 1 dec) repeat around (24 sts)
  • Round 13: (2 sc, 1 dec) repeat around (18 sts)
  • Round 14: (1 sc, 1 dec) repeat around (12 sts)
  • Round 15: 6 decreases (6 sts)

Fasten off and sew closed

Bee Wings (Make 2)

  • Make a magic ring with 8 sc
  • Round 2: 2 sc in each stitch (16 sts)
  • Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing
