Crochet Turtle Keychain

Materials
- Plush yarn in two colors (one for shell, one for head/body)
- Crochet hook (3.75mm recommended)
- 8mm safety eyes
- Stitch markers
- Stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Optional: Acrylic yarn and keychain ring
Head
- Round 1: Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc)
- Round 2: Repeat (1 sc, 1 inc) x4 — 12 sts
- Round 3: 12 sc

Attach safety eyes on either side of the head
- Round 4: 6 decreases (front loop only)
- Finish off with a slip stitch, cut yarn, and tuck the tail inside
Shell
- Round 1: Magic ring, 8 sc
- Round 2: 1 inc in each stitch — 16 sts
- Rounds 3–4: 16 sc
- Round 5 (Front loops only): Mark first back loop, chain 1 through front loop, then 16 sc in front loops only

Finish off, cut yarn, and blend the last stitch using the invisible join method
Body and Fins (Attaching Head)
- Join body color in the marked back loop, ch 1, 1 sc
Back Right Flipper:
- 1 sc, ch 3, sc in 2nd ch, 2 hdc in next, slip stitch to base
- 3 sc
Front Right Flipper:
- 1 sc, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch, 2 hdc in next, 1 hdc in next, 1 sc in last ch, slip stitch to base
- 1 sc
- Attach Head:
- Do 3 sc through 2 head stitches and 1 shell stitch for each

Front Left Flipper:
- 1 sc, ch 7, sc in 2nd ch, partial hdc in next 2 ch, yarn over and pull through all 5 loops, partial hdc in next ch, partial sc in last ch, yarn over and pull through all 4 loops, slip stitch to base
- 3 sc
Back Left Flipper:
- 1 sc, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch, partial hdc in next 2 ch, yarn over and pull through all 5 loops, slip stitch to base
- 1 sc to close round

Closing the Body
- Tie beginning and ending strands together inside the shell
- Lightly stuff the body
- Begin next round with 12 stitches total, working around flippers and head attachments
- Work invisible decreases and sc as instructed to maintain shape and close gaps
- Final round: 6 decreases to close the body
Finishing and Tail
- Cut yarn, leave a tail
- Cinch remaining hole using front loops only with a yarn needle
- For tail: Come out at back, ch 4, pull through and fold
- Secure with a knot and hide yarn tail inside

Optional: Keychain Attachment
- Use strong acrylic yarn
- Insert yarn through bottom of turtle and out near the top center
- Thread through keychain, loop yarn back through to reinforce
- Tie a square knot and hide it inside the turtle
