Materials Needed:
- Two different hooks (5mm and 6mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Three buttons of your choice

Measurements:
- Full Length: Shoulder to desired cardigan length.
- Full Width: Measure across one side to determine the desired width.
- Front Panel Width: Half of full width minus one inch.
- Arm Length: From top of shoulder to wrist.
- Arm Width: Add 6–7 inches for an oversized fit.
- Wrist Measurement: Measure around your wrist.
Creating the Ribbing:
- Make a slip knot.
- Chain 11 (or about 3 inches if using a different yarn).
- Yarn over and count 3 chains from hook.
- Insert hook into the third chain and complete a half double crochet.
- Continue half double crochets until end (9 stitches total).
- Chain 2, flip work.

Yarn over, insert hook through back loop of first stitch and complete a half double crochet.

Creating the Back Panel:
- Insert hook into the corner of the back panel ribbing.
- Yarn over, pull yarn through, chain 2.
- Yarn over, complete half double crochet into space beside the chain.
- Continue half double crochets across (56 stitches).
- Chain 2, turn work.

- Continue normal half double crochet for each stitch.

For Creating the Front Panels:
- Attach yarn to the corner of the front panel ribbing.
