Materials

  • Hook: 5.5 mm
  • Yarn: Category 4
  • Yarn Needle for Seaming

Front and Back Panels (Make 2)

  • Chain 57.
  • Row 1: Single crochet in the 2nd chain from hook and across. (56 stitches)
  • Row 2: Chain 1, turn.
  • Single crochet in each stitch across.
  • Row 3 (Cable Setup): Chain 1, turn.
  • Double crochet in the first 13 stitches.
  • Work 6 Front Post Double Crochet, then 2 single crochet.

Repeat across until 11 stitches remain.

  • Single crochet in last 11 stitches.
  • Row 4: Chain 1, turn.
  • Single crochet in each stitch across.
  • Row 5 (Cable Cross): Chain 1, turn. Single crochet in the first 13 stitches.
  • For the cable, skip 2 posts, Front Post Treble Crochet in next 2 posts, then go back behind and work FPTC in skipped posts, FPDC in the last 2 posts.
  • Work 2 single crochet, then repeat across until 11 stitches remain.
  • Single crochet in last 11 stitches.
  • Row 6: Chain 1, turn. Single crochet in each stitch across.
  • Row 7 (Cable Cross Reversed): Chain 1, turn.
  • Single crochet in the first 13 stitches.
  • FPDC in the first 2 posts, skip next 2, FPTC in 5th and 6th posts, go back and FPTC in skipped posts.
  • Work 2 single crochet, then repeat across until 11 stitches remain.
  • Single crochet in last 11 stitches.
  • Repeat Rows 4–7 until you reach 52 rows total.

Shoulder Straps (7 Rows Each)

Strap 1 (Right Side):

  • Row 1: Chain 1, turn. Single crochet in first 11 stitches, single crochet decrease over next 2 stitches.
  • Row 2: Chain 1, turn. Single crochet across.
  • Row 3: Chain 1, turn. Single crochet until 2 stitches remain, decrease over last 2 stitches.
  • Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until 7 rows total. Fasten off.

Strap 2 (Left Side):

  • Count 31 unworked stitches from Strap 1, attach yarn in 32nd stitch.
  • Row 1: Chain 1, turn. Single crochet decrease over first 2 stitches, single crochet across.
  • Row 2: Chain 1, turn. Single crochet across.
  • Row 3: Chain 1, turn. Decrease over first 2 stitches, single crochet across.
  • Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until 7 rows total.

Sleeves (Make 2)

  • Chain 43.
  • Row 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and across. (42 stitches)
  • Rows 2–5: Chain 1, turn. Single crochet across.
  • Row 6: Chain 1, turn. Decrease over first 2 stitches, single crochet until 2 remain, decrease over last 2.
  • Repeat Rows 1–6 until 60 rows total. Cut and fasten off.

Borders (Cuffs and Collar)

  • Hook: 4.5 mm
  • Chain 8.
  • Row 1: Half double crochet in 2nd chain from hook and across. (7 stitches)
  • Row 2: Chain 1, turn. Half double crochet in first stitch, back loop half double crochet in next 5, half double crochet in last stitch.
  • Repeat Row 2 for cuffs (19 rows each) and collar (48 rows).

Assembly

  • Attach cuffs to sleeve ends with whip stitch.
  • Fold sleeves lengthwise and whip stitch sides closed.
  • Join front and back panels together, leaving 6.5 inches open at the top for armholes.
  • Attach sleeves around armholes using whip stitch.
  • Seam shoulder straps on both sides.
  • Attach the collar evenly around the neckline using whip stitch.
  • Turn sweater right-side out and weave in all loose ends.
