Main Panel

Foundation Row
- Create a slip knot and chain 5
- Work half double crochets (hdc) into the third loop from hook
- You should have 5 hdc in the row
Increasing Rows
- Chain 2 and turn
- Work normal hdc across the row
- Add one hdc at the end to increase
- Repeat this step until the panel is your desired length (32 rows used in the video)

Decreasing Rows
- Chain 2 and turn
- Work normal hdc across the row
- Combine the last two stitches to decrease by one
- Repeat until you’re back down to 5 hdc
Loop for String
- Chain 5 and attach to the end of the panel to form a loop
Edge Cleanup
- Work 2 single crochets (sc) into the side of each hdc row around the whole panel
- Add a second loop at the opposite corner for the string
Sunflower Appliques

Center Circle
- Create a loop (magic ring)
- Work 17 double crochets (dc) into the ring
- Pull to close the center
Petals
