Crochet Sweater

Materials
- Yarn Approx. 200g
- Hook Size 3 mm
- Target Chest 25 inches with a 12.5 inch starting chain
Foundation Chain And Starting Row
- Make 56 chains
- Skip 2 chains and make HDC in the third chain from the hook, then continue HDC across
- Chain 2 and turn
- Work HDC rows back and forth, placing the final stitch into the second chain of the turning chain

Back Panel
- Work 47 rows of HDC
- Length should measure around 13 inches
- Fasten off yarn
Front Panel And Neck Shaping
- Begin as the back panel and work 35 rows of HDC
- Mark 17 stitches on each side for shoulders
- Work HDC up to the neck opening and complete the short row
- Chain 2 and turn, continue rows on this shoulder until reaching 47 rows
- Join yarn at the second shoulder mark and repeat the same shaping until reaching 47 rows

Joining The Panels
- Place front and back panels together with wrong sides facing
- Join shoulder stitches using slip stitches
- Measure 5.5 inches down from the shoulder to mark armholes
- Join side seams from the bottom up to the armhole mark using slip stitches

Neck Border Ribbing
- Join yarn at the back of the neck
- Chain 6 and make slip stitch in the next 5 chains
- Slip stitch into the next two stitches of the neckline
- Turn and work 4 slip stitches in the back loop only, secure the last stitch
- Chain 1 and turn, work 5 slip stitches in the back loop only
