Body Construction
- Create an adjustable ring
- Work 12 single crochets into the ring and place a stitch marker
- Single crochet and increase all around to reach 18 stitches
- Work two single crochets then increase all around to reach 24 stitches
Start with an increase, single crochet 6, increase, single crochet 4, increase, single crochet 6, increase, single crochet 4 to reach 28 stitches
- Begin with an increase, single crochet 7, increase, single crochet 5, increase, single crochet 7, increase, single crochet 5 for 32 stitches
- Work in back loops only, single crochet 18 stitches, change to gray on the 18th stitch
- Work a four double crochet bobble stitch for the foot, finish bobble in brown
- Single crochet 4 stitches in back loops, change to gray and work another four double crochet bobble stitch
- Finish bobble in brown, cut gray yarn leaving a small tail, single crochet 8 stitches in back loops, tuck in loose tails and pop out the bobbles for feet

Assembly
- Sew the bill securely onto the front of the body using a back-and-forth motion, knot the yarn on the inside and hide the tail
- Line up the tail behind the bill, sew it flat against the body, stitching both sides to secure, tie a knot and hide the tail inside
