Materials

  • Seven balls of Olivia yarn
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Four buttons

Back Panel

  • Foundation Chain: Chain 101
  • First Row: Work one double crochet (dc) in each chain
  • Subsequent Rows: Work double crochet in back loop only for ridged texture
  • Waistband: Chain 36, create ribbed strip, and join to bottom
  • Armholes: Skip designated stitches at top corners

Sleeves (Make 2)

  • Sleeve Cuff: Chain 36, join to form a circle, work ribbed cuff
  • Sleeve Body: Work back loop only for several rows, then switch to regular dc for puffed look
  • Joining: Sew sleeves into armholes of back and front panels

Front Panels (Make 2)

  • Foundation Chain: Chain 51
  • Waistband: Chain 36, create ribbed strip, join to bottom
  • Body: Work double crochet in back loop only
  • Armholes: Skip designated stitches at top

Assembly & Finishing Touches

  • Join back panel, sleeves, and front panels together

Crochet Puff Flower Sweater 3

  • Collar/Front Ribbing: Chain 13, work in back loop only, sew onto front opening and collar
  • Buttons & Buttonholes: Sew four buttons on one panel, create buttonholes on opposite side by skipping 2 stitches and chaining 2
  • Puff Flowers: Create and sew puff flowers onto the cardigan for decoration
