Materials

  • 100% cotton yarn: Light pink (main body), Dark pink (nostrils)
  • Crochet hook: 2.5 mm
  • Safety eyes (6 mm) or black yarn
  • Stuffing material
  • Yarn needle

Body (Worked Top to Bottom)

Crochet Little Pig 1

Round 1:

  • Magic Ring with 6 sc

Round 2:

  • 2 sc in each stitch (12 sc total)

For Round 3:

  • 1 sc, inc around (18 sc)

Round 4:

  • 2 sc, inc around (24 sc)

Rounds 5–8:

  • 1 sc in each stitch (24 sc per round)

For Round 9:

  • 3 sc, inc around (30 sc)

Rounds 10–13:

  • 1 sc in each stitch (30 sc per round)

Attaching Eyes

  • Insert safety eyes (or embroider with black yarn) between Rounds 5 and 6, spaced ~0.5 cm apart.

Closing the Body (Decreases)

Round 14:

  • 3 sc, dec around (24 sc)

Round 15:

  • 2 sc, dec around (18 sc)

For Round 16:

  • 1 sc, dec around (12 sc)
  • Begin stuffing.

Round 17:

  • Decrease around (6 sc)
  • Cut yarn, weave through front loops of remaining stitches, pull to close.

Nose

Round 1:

  • Magic Ring with 6 sc

Round 2:

  • 1 sc in each stitch (6 sc)
  • Slip stitch to close, leave tail for sewing.

Nostrils:

  • Use dark pink yarn to embroider 2 vertical lines on the snout.

Ears (Make 2)

  • Magic Ring with 5 sc
  • Slip stitch to close
  • Leave tail for attaching
  • Form into a semi-circle shape before sewing on.

Tail

  • Chain 7
  • Skip first chain, then 3 sc in each of the next 6 chains
  • This forms a curly tail
  • Knot starting and ending tails together
  • Attach to back of body, weave in ends
